ABOUT
Who We Are:
Yolo County Regional Center consumers, their families, staff, and allies
What We Do:
We collaborate with each other and with local government agencies in planning an inclusive, safe and healthy future for people with Developmental Disabilities ("DD") and/or Intellectual Disability ("ID") who call Yolo County their home.
To reach our goal, we:
1. keep a contact list of members so everyone can make friends and network together;

2. meet with city, county and regional government representatives to explain that the California Department of Developmental Services no longer does all the planning now that the Lanterman Act created the Regional Center system.
Today, self-advocates, parents and local government work together to construct living arrangements, and to make necessary accommodations to traditional public resources;
3. participate in meetings of such agencies as the Yolo County Aging and Adult Services Commission of Yolo County, and others;
4. use social media and other means to spread awareness about and acceptance of people with Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and others.
